Hello ~
Well, this journal has actually been LONG overdue...but a lot has come up & kept me from writing this.
For one, I finished my first year of University on April 19th, and...well I had a pretty bad first year experience |D
I'm sure a lot of people my age had bad experiences as well, then there's the select few who were lucky enough to pull off awesome grades
and then those who had even more luck of having a social life ontop of that OTL
As for me, I wasn't too fond of the art program I was in. Having to take so many mandatory classes that are completely unrelated to anything visual arts is ridiculous beyond words.
You're expecting students to pay thousands of dollars a year to MAJOR in what they want,
only to force them to take classes completely out of their skill level
only setting them up for failure/terrible marks/stress
then adding onto it by throwing them in accademic probation and taking away their scholarships because of that
LIKE........
WHAT?

I'm not getting into SPECIFICS on what made my year suck, but on the hole: I did NOT even feel like an art student.
I want to be in an ART school, taking ART classes, learning different things about ART with other ARTISTS.
THAT'S WHAT I'M WILLING TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND COUNTLESS MONTHS OF TIME INTO.

Anyways, I'm still contemplating whether I should try to stick it out for another year or 2, or move to another school
I hate adult life choices T___T

ON a more positive note: ANIME NORTH IS THIS WEEKEND!
I really would love to run into more people from here, so this weekend, I'll be updating my facebook page with pictures of my outfit for each day
This way, if you're there, you'll know what to look for if you'd like to say hello to me *u*
I'm only updating my page with this because I already have facebook on my phone, so it will be quick and easier.
HOWEVER, I AM bringing my laptop too. SO if I have a little extra time in between, I MAY update my dA or my tumblr
But that's not for sure
